History

Longterm successful cooperation of “OKA” Plant (a branch of the the joint-stock company “Sintez”) with some Russian gas-processing companies lead to the founding of advanced technological production of new sorbents for petroleum, gas and nitrogen industries.

“Gazprom” was the initiator for founding the group.

In 1994 a division producing 10,000 tons of Methyldiethanolamine per year was founded with the technical support of joint-stock company “Sintez” and the scientific research provided by closed joint-stock company “Himtek Engineering.”

At the same time “Amincor”, an experimental-industrial plant for production of corrosion inhibitors applied for the natural gas industry, was founded.

In 1996 “Sintez”, “Gazprom”, “Himtek Engineering” founded a new company: the two successful production companies were joint together in a closed joint-stock company “Himsorbent.”

The new company became a base for production of the innovative products required for refining natural gas from hydrogen sulphide, carbonic acid and organic compounds.

In 2001 the company developed an innovative product for the nitrogen industry - Methyldiethanolamine, a modified absorbent for decontaminating of natural gas from carbon dioxide.

Another currently effective line of production was founded in 1991, it produces industrial hardening agent “ACEG” used in foundry and other branches of industry.

Today “Himsorbent” is a modern advanced technological plant producing for and applying to the industry a number of innovative products and processes for a variety of markets of the national economy. It is the only national plant that produces Methyldiethanolamine and Acetate Ethylene Glycol hardening agent.

In cooperation with “Himtech Engineering” and Karpov NIFHI, the company produces newly developed products as well as advanced technologies of natural gas decontamination and offers assistance in technical updating equipment of plants and factories.
